Signing of the agreement for the reconstruction of the organs at Bordeaux Cathedral
On Thursday 7 December, the Fondation Etrillard formalised its support for the project to rebuild the great organs of Bordeaux cathedral by signing a sponsorship agreement with the Association Cathedra, which is behind the project.
Following the signing of the agreement and speeches in the presence of the press, the archbishop of Bordeaux and the DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Mr Jean-Denis Portelli, President of the Cathedra Association, gave a tour of the organs to Mr Gilles Etrillard and Mr Miguel Perez de Guzman, General Delegate of the Foundation.
This support is intended for the total reconstruction of the instrumental part of the gallery organ (also known as the "grand orgue"), and the restoration of its case, which is a listed historic monument. Alongside this renovation, the Foundation will support the 2024 to 2026 musical seasons of Saint-André cathedral.
