The Fondation Etrillard is supporting an exhibition featuring Ovid and a curious story about wallpaper organised by the Swiss National Museum in the Jura. This temporary exhibition focuses on a masterpiece from the collections of the Swiss National Museum: a very rare 1790s room decorated with wallpaper from a famous Parisian factory. It was discovered accidentally in a farm in the French Jura department in the 1950s. The museum hired a comic book illustrator to tell the astonishing story.
The theme of the wallpaper - the Metamorphoses of Ovid - and this original form of mediation motivated the Fondation Etrillard to support the exhibition. 30 workshops about comics are organised for schools and families.
The Fondation Etrillard is working with the Château de Prangins to introduce younger generations to classical mythology and to raise awareness about comic illustration.
