Eager to bring music closer to audiences with limited access, the Etrillard Foundation partnered in 2019 with the Geneva Chamber Orchestra to bring people facing disabilities or precarious situations to the orchestra’s concerts. This initiative was carried out jointly with social actors of the city of Geneva (the Clair Bois, Partage, and Pro Juventute foundations). In 2021, the Etrillard Foundation renewed its support for the OCG by making the Orchestra’s rehearsals accessible to the residents of Aigues-Vertes, a village accommodating individuals living with intellectual disabilities. In addition to these rehearsals, the Foundation also supported participatory workshops (chamber music workshops, boomwhacker workshops) for the disabled villagers. Through these actions, the Etrillard Foundation strengthens its commitment to the accessibility of audiences distanced from music in Switzerland.
