En Chœur is a founding partnership for the Etrillard Foundation in the field of music accessibility. This project has two components: a series of singing initiation classes, led by instrumentalists and a choirmaster, and a final concert. For three months, classical music instrumentalists organize weekly rehearsals for inmates at the Fleury-Mérogis prison. These sessions provide an opportunity to discover various musical instruments. At the end of the course cycle, the students sing, accompanied by the guest instrumentalists. The concert is performed in the prison, remaining accessible to as many people as possible (staff, contributors, guests, inmates).
On this symbolic occasion, music enters the prison and song exits, for a moment.
The Etrillard Foundation enthusiastically pursues this program initiated in 2018, despite the constraints linked to the health context.
