Founded in 1918 by Ernest Ansermet, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande has built a reputation well beyond Swiss borders, notably through its interpretations of 20th-century French and Russian repertoires.
For the 2022-23 and subsequently 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons, the Etrillard Foundation is pleased to partner with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. It will support the Orchestra’s chamber music programming through six concerts per season, held in the Franz Liszt hall of the Geneva Conservatory of Music on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. Musicians will explore works ranging from Bach to Steve Reich, including Mahler, Webern, and even jazz.
The Etrillard Foundation is aware of the importance of the chamber music genre, both for the listening qualities it develops in musicians and for its fundamental contributions to the history of music. It is deeply committed to sharing this music with today’s audiences.
